When we heard about Paul Hughes – a professional mixed martial artist using philosophy, mindfulness and success principles to prepare for the biggest fight of his career – we had to pay him a visit.
For Paul, becoming the best version of himself in and outside of his sport is the ultimate goal. Through an intriguing blend of intense physical training, mindfulness techniques and ancient philosophical study, Paul has formed a routine which strengthens body and mind in preparation for elite-level martial arts competition. To find out more, we flew to Belfast and visited him in the gym, at home and during down time, getting to grips with what it takes to organise a life geared for success.
